The Pecan Grove Disc Golf course was designed to invite fun play for both novice and expert level Disc Golf players. The game is played very similarly to golf. The player starts from the tee box, but instead of hitting a ball, they throw a disc. Where it lands is where the next shot comes from. The goal is to get your disc into the basket with as few throws as possible.
The course goes through the woods, but has some open clearing throws as well. The total length of the 18 hole course is 7,863ft, with holes ranging from under 300 ft. to several peaking over 400ft. The course is host to several tournament throughout the year. The parks and recreation has sponsorship opportunities at each hole and several disc that can be rented for players just exploring the sport.
