Ely Park is surrounded by residential neighborhoods on all four sides. The park perimeter is lined with Crepe Myrtle trees that have been dedicated by the Sherman Lions Club. Each tree honors someone who has died serving their country in World War II. The park is home to a practice softball field that was installed in 2003, a pavilion with picnic tables, benches, and several pieces of play equipment including a climbing rock. There are also several large shade trees that provide a great deal of shade around the pavilion and play equipment.

Pavilion Rentals – $10 for a resident and $20 for a non-resident for up to 3 hours. Includes a grill but does not have electricity.
