Investing in Parks, Building Community
At Sherman Parks and Recreation, we’re committed to enhancing the places where our community comes together. Several exciting quality-of-life projects are currently in motion, and while some are still in the concept design phase, we want to keep you informed every step of the way. Projects like the Hawn Park Mini-Pitch Soccer parking and restrooms, Fairview Park improvements (including parking, restrooms, and passive recreation areas), and the Old Settlers Park pickleball courts and parking are all about 60% through the design process. As these plans evolve, you can expect some thoughtful refinements before they’re finalized.
In addition, we’re moving forward with tennis court resurfacing and renovations at Fairview Park, along with important accessibility and ADA restroom upgrades at the Senior Center, ensuring our spaces are welcoming and inclusive for all. We’re excited about what’s ahead and grateful for your continued support as we build a more connected, active, and enjoyable Sherman.
